WEST CENTRAL SECTION PINEWOOD DERBY RESULTS

Thanks to all that participated as entrants, track adminstrators, concession staff, patch designer, and friends and relatives.

My own 2 cents... I was able to wander around and observe. What I realized was the
friends and families that were in attendance. They brought fellowship to this grand event in our section. But, in addition they brought pride & encouragement to their children. That is what family is about.

COMMANDERS CONVENTION

The New Mexico Leaders Conference will be held April 9 – 10 in Albuquerque. It will be held at the same location as two years ago at the Homewood Suites at 7101 Arvada NE, Albuquerque. There is a block of rooms reserved at $109.00 per night but you need to specify you are with the Royal Rangers to get that rate when you make your reservations. This rate is good until the block of rooms is gone or until March 19th, whichever comes first. The phone number to make reservations is 505-881-7300. Those who have stayed here before know how great the accommodations are. As you may recall, there is a lot of stuff to do around the hotel. For those who wish, I understand they will let you stay Saturday night for the same rate. We will be doing the new Rangers Essential training at the convention this year so you will not want to miss it. Cost for the convention for chartered outposts will be $40.00 if registered before April 1st; $50.00 if after and $60.00 if registering at the door. For non-chartered outposts the cost will be $45.00 if registered before April 1st; $55.00 if after and $65.00 if registering at the door. Registration will include lunch on Saturday. Registration forms will be available on the website very soon.
